The Lumby Air Force Flying Club started in Lumby in 1976. We are reaching our 50th Anniversary in 2026 and plans are underway to celebrate and commemorate the local valley flyers and flying. It is our ambition to build the Canadian Hang Gliding Museum and Hall of Fame on park grounds to educate and inspire pilots in the history of gliders. If you want to participate or donate to the museum, please contact us.
