https://www.facebook.com/FreedomFlightPark?fref=ts Rain Day on Day 2 so everyone was rested and eager to fly. We sang Wolfie a 30th birthday song and headed up to our closest launch Coopers ...however an obvious higher over the back building cloud drift threatened and left us skeptical that we might all get off in similar air and score a decent task so the comp comittee chose to move to Vernon Mountain 20km to the west. Turned out to be a good call. A 60 km task was set and the race was on shortly after 2pm. As it turned out a 100 km task was probably in order as the predicted winds did not show up and the overdeveloped conditions backed off. |
